Default HOM Would be soo much more usefull if

i think HOM would be soo much more useful if allot of the stuff like the armor shrine, mini pet shrine, and weapon shrine were made account wide for the most part you could keep it how it is just it would let you show off your other elite armor sets and would make the weapon and mini pet shrine more realistic. like im not going to pay 100k for minpets i already have just so i can have them on each ch and im not going to buy each destroyer weapon for my war because he inst going to have a use for a mesmer wand or a rit staff.

you dont NEED to put the stuff on all your characters you know. No one is forcing you to fill your HoM and right now it doesnt benefit you so it isnt a big deal.

Stop with this forcing nonsense.

No, nobody is forcing us to buy GW2 either, or expansions, or play at all.

Nobody is forced to breathe either.

HoM is broken, and has turned off many, making GW:EN a collosal disappointment. And that's after all the changes were made.

The grind crowd is overjoyed with HoM. The GW crowd however said meh.

It's a game - if people are forced into anything, they won't play. And too many were forced into title grind. That's all there's left.

Err, HoM doesn't do anything, so talking about making it "useful" doesn't really make a lot of sense. Once we know how HoM additions relate to GW2 rewards, then we can discuss whether the mechanism in question is fair.

Yea that argument that "You don't NEED etc..." is so wrong, and brings up so much nihilistic philosophical argument its not funny. (Whats the point of existence??? etc... ) Anyone who makes the argument that its "not needed" please go jump off a cliff, your existence is not "needed" by any of us.

I think account based is GOOD for one of the design aims of guild wars, being that players are rewarded for skill, and do not have to play through unnecessary tasks to allow for the full range of strategic options.
Right now Players are rewarded for limiting their strategic options, I think that needs to be fixed, and more rewards (including the HoM) should be made acct based.

I'm just wondering how the reward will be given to players of Guild Wars in Guild Wars 2 if all of their achievements are spread across several characters. I've pooled most of my resources into one character, with the rest a lot less prestige, i.e. my primary character has obsidian armor and Kind of a Big Deal whereas another of my characters only has elite armor and protector of Cantha.

It'll be interesting to see how this HoM will pan out in the future. I can only speculate that all of your characters and their monuments are clumped together for a singular or perhaps account wide reward...

This is the key question, and until it's answered everything else is just brainless speculation. There's no need for HoM to be account based so long as GW2 rewards can be tied to all the characters on an account, rather than just one.

IF the monuments and additions to them relate to different rewards and things in GW2, then Anet really needs to make HoM a little more useable for the casual player... Those, like myself, who dont spend their entire lives playing the game, and play casually, without much farming or high level armor material farming, etc., need something that they can carry over to GW2 as well. I myself dont have the amount of money or time needed to get most of the elite things that the HoM requires to be allowed to be displayed. Make the HoM more casual, or allow for lesser monuments that record the achievements of casual players.

make it account based . not everyone likes to just grind of 1 character , some people havre 4 characters they play regulary and would probabely like all their achevements on all of their characters.

however i can't see this happening , anet are focused on GW2 now , GW1 isn't the main priority
